A Google search for the word “farm” yields millions of images. A herd of cattle grazing behind an enclosure. A team of workers fertilizing young plants. And, of course, a farmer driving a big tractor over a field. While idyllic, these portrayals of traditional farms are starting to feel increasingly outdated because farming has evolved. So what is a more accurate picture of today’s farm? The livestock enclosure is invisible, replaced by geofencing. Dozens of farmhands are replaced by one person remotely controlling a drone spraying fertilizer. And the tractor is empty because it is tilling the field autonomously while the farmer monitors its progress from another site.

TYM donates multi-purpose vehicles to boost the economy in Gangwon

In the aftermath of COVID-19 and the coinciding of the monsoon, the beaches in Gangwon Province saw a reduction in visitors and tourists. TYM took part in a donation program to offer a boost to the local economy, contributing four multi-purpose transport vehicles worth 200 million won (USD 182,000). The vehicles will support rescue operations by transporting jetskis and facilitate hauling of material across the shoreline. They are also equipped with a front-end hitch for implements like loaders, which will help keep the sand flat and safe to walk on.

To support the province in the time of the monsoon and the COVID-19 pandemic, TYM donated vehicles worth 200 million won (USD 182,000).
