TYM, a specialist in agricultural machinery, announced on the 12th that on the 8th, Ukrainian parliament member Dmytro Pryputen and Taras Fedunkiv, Economic Secretary of the Ukrainian Embassy in South Korea, visited the new Yongsan headquarters.
Dmytro Pryputen, co-chair of the 'Ukraine-Korea Parliamentary Consultation,' had previously discussed water infrastructure development with the Korea Water Resources Corporation and Lviv Oblast in Ukraine this June. During this visit, the delegation expressed gratitude for TYM’s donations and engaged in further discussions regarding post-war reconstruction efforts.
TYM and the Ukrainian delegation discussed cooperation in reconstruction projects. The delegation plans to identify local companies in Ukraine for potential collaboration and relay this information to TYM through the embassy. TYM also committed to actively supporting tractor manufacturing parts and services through its planned European branch and collaborating with local companies to secure research and development capabilities in the long term. After the meeting, the delegation toured the showroom and tractors on display on the first floor of the new headquarters.
Dmytro Pryputen stated, “The tractors and equipment donated by TYM significantly contribute to the reconstruction and daily recovery of residents in Ukraine. Given agriculture's significant role in Ukraine, I believe this presents an excellent opportunity for mutual cooperation in the agricultural machinery industry with TYM.”
TYM had previously participated in the 'Ukraine Reconstruction Business Meeting' held in October with major companies. The company continues to explore ways to support Ukraine, aiming to establish a foothold for further entry into the European market post-war.
A TYM representative commented, “We hope for a swift end to the prolonged war, allowing for the recovery of daily life in Ukraine and its communities. TYM will assist the Ukrainian agricultural machinery industry in developing its capabilities while also working towards expanding into domestic and European markets.”
In 2022, TYM donated 10 tractors worth 400 million KRW and cash equivalent to about 100 million KRW for diverse uses in farming, construction, and public works in Ukraine. In 2023, they further donated 14 tractors and equipment each, worth 400 million KRW, along with essential parts for immediate maintenance and repair. These tractors and equipment are utilized for the recovery of the war-torn Kherson area through the ‘Kherson Regional Municipal Emergency’ service.
Meanwhile, Ukraine established the National Council for the Recovery of Ukraine from the War in 2022, preparing for post-war recovery and development plans, and identifying and implementing reform tasks.
