Global agricultural machinery leader TYM (Co-CEOs Kim Hiyong and Kim Dohoon; 002900) announced on the 19th that it has secured a contract from the Philippine government for the supply of 650 tractors, with deliveries commencing immediately this month. This marks a consecutive major order following last year’s delivery of 1,220 units. Through successful government bidding, TYM’s cumulative export performance in the Philippines is expected to exceed KRW 35 billion.

This latest contract is a significant milestone, underscoring TYM’s growing foothold in the Philippine market. Last month, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. personally handed over TYM tractors to local farmers during a national event, further strengthening the company’s cooperative relationship with the Philippine government and solidifying its stable market presence.

Beyond product supply, TYM is advancing initiatives that contribute to the development of local agriculture. The company is collaborating with PHilMech—the country’s agricultural mechanization authority—on joint training programs, creating internship opportunities, and actively supporting talent development. TYM is also working with local institutions to localize products and foster technical experts, building a model for mutual growth.

Kim Ho-kyum, Head of TYM’s Global Business Division, stated: “This consecutive large-scale contract in Southeast Asia is a highly meaningful achievement, as TYM demonstrates differentiated competitiveness in a market historically dominated by longstanding global rivals such as Japan. Moving forward, we will further accelerate our localization strategy—focusing on developing products tailored to local agricultural environments and strengthening educational and service infrastructure—to drive even greater momentum for global growth.
