Global agricultural machinery company TYM (Co-CEOs Hiyong Kim and Dohoon Kim / 002900) announced on the 4th that it has donated one ton of rice, grown directly by its employees, to the Community Chest of Korea in Okcheon County, North Chungcheong Province.

This donation is part of a local community sharing initiative that began in 2023 and has continued for three consecutive years through this year. It is a social contribution program independently carried out by TYM’s Okcheon plant to promote sustainable co-prosperity with the local community. TYM employees took part in every stage of the process, from planting and cultivation to harvesting, and used the company’s TH1200 standard combine model during the harvest.

The donation ceremony was held on November 26 at Okcheon County Office, with Okcheon County Governor Kyucheol Hwang, TYM’s Head of Production Division 2 Donggyun Kim, and other representatives from the Okcheon plant in attendance, underscoring the warm spirit of sharing. The donated rice will be used to support vulnerable groups within the local community.

A TYM representative said, “It is especially meaningful that we are once again able to share rice carefully cultivated by our employees with the local community this year,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to practice ESG management so that our positive impact can spread across the wider community.”

Meanwhile, TYM continues to pursue a variety of initiatives that combine technological and service innovation with social contribution. Following its donation of rice grown during the 2023 autonomous rice transplanter demonstration project, the company has also been expanding co-prosperity efforts through programs such as tractor support for young returning farmers and the publication of its ESG report.
