  • Launch of 'Technical Advisory Committee' composed of 36 professional farmers with over 15 years of experience in farming and agricultural machinery use
  • Selection of 7 chief engineers in the fields of agricultural machinery maintenance technology and customer service, including masters and craftsmen
  • "By operating the Technical Advisory Committee and enhancing engineer capabilities, we aim to advance products, services, and achieve quality innovation."

On the 27th, TYM (Co-CEOs Heeyong Kim and Dohoon Kim / 002900), a leading agricultural machinery company, announced the successful hosting of the '1st TYM Technical Advisory Committee Appointment Ceremony' at the showroom of the Iksan Factory on the 26th. On the same day, the 'Chief Engineer Award Ceremony' was held for those who excelled in the '3rd TYM Engineer Technical Competition.'

To swiftly implement the 'communication-based quality innovation' emphasized at a customer invitation event last February, TYM launched the 'Technical Advisory Committee,' composed of 36 professional farmers with at least 15 years of experience in farming and using agricultural machinery. The appointment ceremony was also held.

While it is typical for esteemed professors or technology developers to serve as advisory committee members, TYM has gone beyond the conventional bounds by focusing on direct communication with farmers, the backbone of agriculture, to obtain practical advice from the field. The goal is to accelerate quality innovation activities, such as new product development, existing product improvement, and service enhancement, through continuous collaboration with the professional farmer advisors and incorporating the Voice of Customer (VOC).

Dohoon Kim, CEO of TYM, stated, "The operation of the Technical Advisory Committee was initiated to listen to the voices from the actual agricultural field and reflect them from the product development stage to launch products that customers can be more satisfied with. We will improve not only product quality but also parts and services by receiving various opinions and strive to become the 'No. 1 company in customer satisfaction' through customer-centric management."

Meanwhile, the 'TYM Engineer Technical Competition' is held biennially, where TYM engineers of the highest industry standards compete in agricultural machinery maintenance technology and customer service, marking its third occurrence this year. In this year's fiercely contested competition, Engineer Hyungyu Jung was selected as 'Master,' Engineers Kwangseop Lee and Kwan-sik Woo as 'Craftsmen,' and Engineers Ikchan Cho, Kwangho Park, Jungmin Guk, and Jungsoo Jung were selected as 'Experts,' with a total of seven engineers being honored.

The 'Chief Engineer' will participate in training and mentoring programs for nurturing future technical talents based on their seasoned know-how. Additionally, by having chief engineers at the forefront of service technology, TYM plans to enhance overall service quality and provide more specialized and satisfying services for imported supply products like John Deere.

A TYM representative stated, "TYM will continue various activities such as effectively operating the professional farmer Technical Advisory Committee and selecting chief engineers to enhance the comprehensive capabilities of our engineers. We will continue our company-wide efforts to further advance products and services and achieve quality innovation."
