TYM CEO Dohoon Kim Presents Vision for Sustainable Future Agriculture at the 2025 Asian Leadership Conference.

Global agricultural machinery company TYM (Co-CEOs: Hiyong Kim, Dohoon Kim / 002900) announced on the 26th that CEO Dohoon Kim was invited for the fifth consecutive year as a speaker at the 2025 Asian Leadership Conference (ALC), held from May 21 to 22 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul.

On May 22, CEO Dohoon Kim participated as a speaker in the session “Eco-friendly Technologies and AI Solutions for Sustainable Future Agriculture.” The session featured global experts in agricultural technology, including Professor Yongju Kim of Chungnam National University, Professor Noboru Noguchi of Hokkaido University (Japan), and Professor Topael Ahmed of the University of Tsukuba (Japan), who together held in-depth discussions on the future of sustainable agriculture driven by AI and eco-friendly technologies.

In his presentation, CEO Dohoon Kim addressed the complex challenges facing agriculture today, including declining food self-sufficiency, the aging agricultural workforce, the reluctance of younger generations to enter farming, and a lack of trust in new technologies. “Agriculture is no longer an outdated industry of the past. It is evolving into a future-oriented, high-value sector driven by technology and data,” he said. “We must build an ecosystem that enables young people and startups to enter agriculture.”

He added, “Although autonomous tractors and AI technologies are now at the commercialization stage, many farmers are still cautious about adopting these innovations due to a need for greater trust. Building field-level trust and comprehensive education systems is just as important as the technology itself.”

TYM is currently leading technological innovation through the development of autonomous agricultural machinery, user-centric technology design, and predictive monitoring systems. The company is also working to shift perceptions among farmers by holding regional exhibitions and demonstration events. CEO Dohoon Kim emphasized, “Collaboration among government, industry, and academia is essential to building a sustainable agricultural ecosystem, and earning the trust of farmers in future agricultural technologies is the starting point for innovation.”

Now in its 16th year, the ALC is Asia’s premier international event, bringing together political leaders, businesspeople, and scholars from around the world to address and seek solutions to key issues facing modern society. This year’s event was held under the theme “Ah! Korea: A New Journey for Innovation and Growth.”

Since his first invitation in 2021, CEO Dohoon Kim has participated in ALC sessions for five consecutive years, presenting sustainable solutions on topics such as “Sustainable Agriculture: The Direction of Future Agriculture” (2021), “The Future of Agriculture: Agricultural Data Revolution” (2022), “Agricultural Innovation Unleashed by Artificial Intelligence” (2023), and “The Era of Hyper-Uncertainty: Innovative Leadership for the Future” (2024).
