- TYM exports 36 CNG tractors to Uzbekistan worth KRW 2.2 billion, with total volume projected to expand to KRW 3 billion
- Part of an ODA initiative in collaboration with Jeonbuk Technopark, establishing a comprehensive support system for certification, technical validation, and after-sales service
- Approximately 77% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to conventional diesel tractors, advancing the transition to eco-friendly agriculture in Central Asia

Global agricultural machinery specialist TYM (Co-CEOs Hiyong Kim and Dohoon Kim / 002900) announced on the 14th that it has officially shipped 36 eco-friendly CNG (compressed natural gas) tractors to Uzbekistan, marking a full-scale push into the Central Asian market.
This shipment is part of an ODA (Official Development Assistance) project carried out in collaboration with Jeonbuk Technopark. Going beyond a simple export, it establishes a comprehensive cooperation model that encompasses local certification, technical validation, operational support, and an after-sales management system. The shipment amounts to KRW 2.2 billion and will undergo demonstration and distribution through the Chirchiq Agricultural Machinery Cluster under the Uzbek government.
Uzbekistan is rich in natural gas resources, yet the agricultural sector remains highly dependent on diesel fuel. To reduce the burden of energy imports and curb emissions of air pollutants such as fine dust, the Uzbek government is actively promoting a transition to CNG in agricultural machinery. In line with this policy direction, TYM developed the CNG tractor model T6092 in cooperation with local institutions, and it is regarded as optimized for Uzbekistan’s resource profile and agricultural environment.

On September 24, TYM invited officials from the Uzbekistan Agency for Innovative Development and the Chirchiq Agricultural Machinery Cluster to its Iksan plant to showcase the CNG tractor production facilities, followed by a shipment ceremony on October 14. Attendees included Rustam Ergashev, Head of the New Development Commercialization Department under the Uzbekistan Agency for Innovative Development; Temur Abdulxamidov, Head of HR and Training at the Chirchiq Cluster; and Dosjan Polatov, Chief Accountant. Jeonbuk Technopark’s Center Director, Yu Joong-gil, and other representatives were also present, underscoring the depth of collaboration.
The T6092 adopts a bi-fuel system that uses both gasoline and CNG, delivering approximately 77% better fuel efficiency compared to conventional diesel tractors. TYM has optimized product performance to suit Uzbekistan’s agricultural conditions and crop characteristics, and it has sequentially completed local safety verification and certification procedures. The T6092 also received strong recognition from local stakeholders at “UzAgro Expo 2024” held in Tashkent last year.
Following this initial shipment, an additional 14 units (worth KRW 800 million) are slated for delivery next year, bringing the total export volume to 50 units valued at KRW 3 billion. Leveraging this export, TYM plans to expand its footprint in Uzbekistan and accelerate its broader entry into the Central Asian market.
“This shipment will serve as an important bridgehead for our expansion into the Central Asian market,” said Ho-Gyeom Kim, Head of TYM’s Global Business Division. “We will continue to develop high-efficiency, eco-friendly products optimized for regional agricultural environments and advance as a globally competitive agricultural machinery company across technology, service, and quality.”
